The Nike Air Max 1 ’87 Premium University of Oregon PE is a rare sneaker made to honor Oregon student athletes. It was created with help from Ducks of a Feather, a brand shaped by ideas from U of O athletes.

This shoe has a mix of rich colors and soft materials. The toe area uses shiny brown fabric, while the collar comes in green. Tan leather with small holes covers the sides. The eyelets have a gray and white leopard print look. Beige suede wraps the front, and the back heel uses a speckled brown suede. A blue Nike Swoosh sits on the side, and a small Swoosh is stitched near the toe. The off-white midsole includes visible Air cushioning for comfort, and the bottom has a tan and off-white rubber outsole for grip.

One of the best details is the gold text on the heel tabs. One says “ONCE A DUCK” and the other says “ALWAYS A DUCK.” This gives the shoe a strong school spirit feel and makes it stand out even more.
